Off-Season Pool Protection

Winter Watch Services

Protect your pool all winter long with professional monitoring, water testing, and chemical balancing. AquaPros keeps your investment safe so spring opening is smooth and stress-free.

Peace of Mind, All Winter Long.

Winter can be tough on pools if left unchecked. Freezing temperatures, debris buildup, and fluctuating water chemistry can wreak havoc on plaster surfaces, equipment, and water quality. A neglected pool over the off-season often means a more expensive, more difficult spring opening — and in some cases, permanent damage.

Our Winter Watch service keeps your pool in optimal condition during the off-season. We routinely visit to test and adjust water chemistry, remove debris, inspect your cover and equipment, and ensure water levels stay where they need to be. This proactive care prolongs plaster life and protects your equipment from corrosion and freeze damage.

AquaPros ensures your investment stays protected, clean, and ready for use come spring. Don't let your pool sit neglected all winter — let us keep an eye on it for you.

Why It Matters

What Happens Without It

Neglecting your pool over winter leads to problems that cost far more to fix in the spring. Here's what's at stake.

  • Algae blooms that stain plaster & clog filters
  • Unbalanced chemistry etching or scaling surfaces
  • Freeze damage to plumbing, pumps & heaters
  • Cover damage going unnoticed for months
  • Water level dropping below skimmer, risking pump damage
  • Expensive, time-consuming spring opening recovery

Frequently Asked

Everything you need to know about our Winter Watch pool monitoring service.

Ask a Question
Winter Watch is a recurring off-season monitoring service for your pool. After your pool is closed for the season, we visit on a regular schedule to test and adjust water chemistry, remove debris, inspect your cover and equipment, and make sure water levels are correct. It's like having a pool caretaker all winter long — keeping everything in check so spring opening is easy and affordable.
Visit frequency depends on your pool's needs and the plan you choose. Typically, we visit every 2 to 4 weeks throughout the off-season (October through March). We can adjust the schedule based on weather conditions, pool type, and any specific concerns you have.
A cover is strongly recommended for winter pool care, but it's not strictly required for our service. Covered pools retain heat better, keep out debris, and require fewer chemical adjustments. If you don't have a cover, we can still monitor and maintain your pool — we'll just adjust our approach to account for the additional exposure.
We use the same professional-grade chemicals we use year-round — chlorine or non-chlorine shock, algaecide, pH adjusters, and alkalinity balancers. The goal is to keep your water balanced so it doesn't damage plaster or equipment over the winter months. All chemicals are included in the service — you don't need to buy anything separately.
Absolutely. That's one of the biggest benefits. Pools that go unmonitored all winter often need extensive cleaning, chemical shock treatments, and sometimes equipment repairs before they can be opened. With Winter Watch, your pool stays balanced and clean, so spring opening is faster, smoother, and significantly less expensive.
